Vineet Nagla heads the Taxation practice at the Firm, with a special focus on GST, Customs, State levies, erstwhile Central Excise, Service Tax, VAT and Central Sales Tax as well as regulatory advisory under the Foreign Trade Policy. Vineet has substantially assisted clients to address complex financial issues under the GST regime with a sector-specific focus on Real Estate, Hospitality and Service, Shipping and Gems and Jewelry business. Vineet is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary and is currently pursuing Bachelor of Law (LLB).
With over 13 years of taxation expertise, Vineet has executed crucial assignments relating to transaction structuring as well as litigation matters for various Indian and multinational corporations. Vineet has worked extensively on issues relating to CENVAT Credit, Excise classification issues, Customs valuation and assisting clients in maintaining requisite documentation for Government audits. Vineet has extensively worked with various pre-eminent Industry Associations and offered his proficient advisory services while successfully representing such associations' interests before the Central Government and State Governments for grant of reliefs arising from concerns faced under various tax-related legislations.
Vineet has also been pioneering expertise in the set-up related and ancillary issues associated with business incorporation and management at the Special Economic Zones (‘SEZ’).
Prior to joining the Firm, Vineet was part of the tax team at Economic Laws Practice and Deloitte.
