We are pleased to announce that we successfully represented a Mumbai-based housing society in securing an ad-interim relief before the 𝗛𝗼𝗻’𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗕𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗮𝘆 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘁.

We are pleased to announce that we successfully represented a Mumbai-based housing society in securing an ad-interim relief before the 𝗛𝗼𝗻’𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗕𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗮𝘆 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘁.

The Society had received eviction notices issued under 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟯𝟱𝟯𝗔 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗮𝗶 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗰𝘁, 𝟭𝟴𝟴𝟴. It was the Society’s case that the developers’ persistent defaults had placed forty-six families at imminent risk of eviction. The Society had also initiated steps towards regularization under the 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 (𝗗𝗖𝗣𝗥) 𝟮𝟬𝟯𝟰, demonstrating compliance and bona fides.

The 𝗛𝗼𝗻’𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗕𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗮𝘆 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘁 granted 𝗮𝗱-𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗺 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗳 by staying the effect, implementation, and operation of the impugned notices. The Court further took note of the Society’s ongoing efforts toward regularization, thereby granting crucial and immediate protection to the families affected.
